I think one thing that we all can agree on is that Mother Mopar never seemed to do anything "by the book". If you wanted your car painted Gold with blue interior, that was OK. Build it with a larger engine, and have the cash and contacts, that was possible. If it came from one factory, another factory building the same body style did it differently.
That's why we love our Mopars. You can never say "always". Maybe that's why we have elections (choices), although I am still bitching about that one.... Larry

hop teenage angst BS made iconic by American Graffiti, but the ordinary grocery store parking
lot, or small town street on any day America …. where cars were styling and cool, but also “just
cars”, where “Dad” might have installed a wrong year, or even wrong make underhood light in his
finned beast because it worked, and for no other reason. As long as it looks like it was done in
1961, I find THAT to be just part of the “fabric”, … the story, that these cars tell us.
When some blowhard “know-it-all” starts telling me that his way is the only way to do it right, that
is where I just walk away and go enjoy my old junk the way I’ve been doing it now for 50 years.
Keep posting, David. Enjoy yourself through the things you enjoy and don’t let the attitude people
be a wet blanket on your good times.
