Re: {Chrysler 300} In need of a long ram intake —-How about FIXING it ?

Ps
I repaired mine with scotch cast electrical epoxy , way back , was highest rated heat , (but $) I had planned to use it stock again — before I smartened up . Even best epoxy is in trouble around 275, but ok without heat . tape on inside of plenum , seal tape with was cement to be sure no leak pour in the bottom holes, ram upside down . I tried to get 1/2” thick on exhaust side to save manifold . It worked , then tied heat open . But always had nagging doubt about it w even residual exhaust gas heat — it is HOT
no heat you are ok

This past year discovered firebrick cement mortar while fixing sad joke Vermont casting stove ( they crack casting at upper vent damper surround casting —- 3 rd one , the stoves are big $ — door jams then . Good looking but junk

all or nothing design is crap too on that door — NOT buying another .
So experimented with a fixed slit — about 3/8 wide is perfect balance . Most hot gas still goes out bottom , when hot , slit helps lighting air flow . Wood use better than before!!
So forced it to stay there , used SS tie wire, then used “ firebrick mortar” . Filled in all
around flap maybe 1 ” thick . Unbelievably good stuff rated to like 1000 degrees , can buy at Amazon two bags come . Very critucal to mix ratio .
too much water you wreck it
So stove has seen 900 ( accidental over firing )
no cracks in mortar gets red even
That would fix rams stronger than aluminum , cures hard as a rock Put in like the epoxy ?
