Subject: 300D parts needed

Hi to all,

Please help with the following "parts needed" list. It's for one of our
Swedish members, Dan Hagen. Should anyone have any of this stuff, I will
gladly write you a check myself, and you can either ship it to me, or
bring
it to the Kentucky meet.

I have posted pictures of relevant pages from parts manual at:
http://www.chrysler300club.com/jhstuff/hagen/needs.html ; Please click on
this link to view the exact parts needed. Also a couple pictures of Dan's
car...
==================================================

1/ Heater housing model 705 in excellent condition

2/ Chrome bezel on front seat's RIGHT (passenger) side

3/ Brace, bracket and lock for hood latch assembly. Illustration #'s
provided from parts manual:
a/ Lock is the latch itself ( 15-11-3
b/ Brace is the long vertical piece that goes downwards from latch (
15-11-7
c/ Bracket is triangular piece ( 7-16-35

4/ throttle linkage rods:
a/ rod that goes from pivot on firewall to carburetor
b/ rod that goes from pivot on firewall down to transmission ( kickdown)

5/ Chrome bezel around driver's door power window switches - OR - complete
4
gang p/w switch assembly

6/ Retainer assembly to wiring harness grommet - this is the METAL piece
that fits around the rubber "plug" located on firewall, where wiring
harness
goes through it.

=======================================================================

Again, please HELP with these parts ! Danny's doing a beautiful and
serious
restoration on his 300D and needs our help !

John

Hi again,

Need a pair of 55 Chrysler taillight lenses. Any for sale, or leads or
suggestions?

Also does anyone have a phone number for Scuderia Nuvolari or some such,
they make repro lenses, might make the '55 ones ?

John

Hi Matt and Gang
57 300C's cam specs as follows: Duration, intake 280 deg.; exhaust 270
deg.;
overlap 60 deg.; valve lift, intake .444"; exhaust .435". I would increase
valve lift if you want a few more pony's. If you do that must check piston
to valve clearence,(ptvc). You should have no problem maintaining
min..060"
ptvc. Any cam grinder can duplicate this spec. Isky, etc.

Hi, all

Just a hair more than a week left before departure to Fall meet in
Kentucky... anybody from New England / PA area interested in sharing a
ride
with me and keeping me company ? I plan on leaving Tuesday, driving thru
Harrisburg PA, spending the night 1/2way to Kentucky, probably in the
Hagerstown MD area, and finishing the trip the next day. Ditto on the way
home, leave Sunday, spend one night on road... ; will be driving the gold
300G hardtop.

John

Okay...I got an extra front clip with my '62 when I bought it 12 years
ago.
I had no idea that the "junk pile" behind my garage was so valuable...that
is close to what I paid for the running/driving 62 sport series in fair
shape and the clip originally.

Subject: birth announcement

Louis & Eileen Barrie of West Hills, CA, are pleased to announce the birth
(adoption) of a 4300 lb. bouncing baby 300F coupe. The stork (Passport
Transport) delivered our baby on September 10, 2001 @ 6:30PM (during the
Giants - Broncos game). Assisting after the delivery, Dr. Dan Reitz, with
his magic instrument (a long screwdriver) delivered the initial jolt to
life, wherein the baby started to cry loudly to life! The baby was named
Big
Yellow by older sister Jaclyn, and was immediately presented with a set of
family heirloom 1960 yellow California license plates (courtesy Rich
Rowlands). Father and baby are resting comfortably, mom is still slightly
pissed that new living room furniture has been postponed indefinitely.

A special thank you to all my new friends in the club who have helped make
this adoption happen!

Louis M. Barrie
