Subject: Transmission fluids

Hi all,
Before I do the deed, is there any significant problem with topping off my
'56 Powerflite with Chrysler ATF + 3 fluid that already has good old "Type A"
fluid in it ?  I'll probably need to add between one and two quarts.  Anyone
have first hand experience doing this ?

( The tranny was rebuilt in '96 and I found , as recommended in the service
manual, new "Type A" fluid and filled it with that thinking that would be
best.)
Thanks,
John Cote

i ordered a set of quarterpanels yesterday. as was previously mentioned on this group(iguess because i have senior moments) all the inventory is in quincy, michigan. in addition, they have quit shipping them due to high cost and one has to pick them up. so probably the week of oct 13 i am going to michigan to pick them up and make another stop for exhaust parts at waldrops. getting to the point, if anyone in the southeast would rather drive to knoxville or chattanooga instead of detroit to pickup  quarterpanels, let me know. i will have plenty of room for more sets. no charge. pat grant

Subject: Radio delete plate - '57-'58

Hello & happy almost-Thursday.

I'm hunting a radio delete block-off plate for a '57.

Having never seen one, I'm guessing that its a textured plate that fits into
the radio/ashtray/lighter pod...   (Or would the entire pod have been
deleted?) This would be an aluminum plate approx. 3"x7" with one rounded end
and a pointy raised surface. Pretty sure Chrysler (non-Imp) would have its
own style/shape.. '57 & 8 - all Chrysler models - should(?) be the same.

If you know - or have one to horse trade - please lemme know.  I figured I'd
have some fun with the heater delete C coupe and block-off the clock & radio
also.

Many thanks & have a swell week. mike

Ps
Just saw the movie "Cry Terror" with its extended '57 NY'er convertible
scenes.   Neat stuff.

  To all,

My experience with Moore's pretty much is the same as the recent ones posted
here. Lousy communications, never returned calls or faxes...  I have given
up on trying to purchase something from them.

I will add that I stopped in to their yard in 1995 or thereabouts, and that
they were very nice folks in person...

Re:  Hemi 300C preview

Received info from Mark Lindahl that he had been asked for a "sequence
number" when calling the  888-423-3332  number.

As per memo rec'd today, the sequence number is no longer needed.  Any Club
member
being given a "hard time" registering should state that he or she has been
invited by Matt Roberts at BBDO Detroit, as a member of the Chrysler 300
Club International, Inc.  ; and, if still being given a hard time, please
ask for Adrienne specifically, at extension #5097

Thank you and enjoy !

Moroso has Mopar Sunday every year about this time.  Car show and drags.  I'm
not up to date on this any more, as I have moved to the Daytona area, and
don't go to Moroso any more.  Give them a call.  They're in West Palm Beach.

Subject: Re: ADDENDUM : special invitation from Daimler / Chrysler to al...

Hi John and All,

The operator that answers the phone is involved with scheduling many events
at one time.
She found a memo that she read while I was on the phone and finally let me
register without the sequence number.  All is OK for now!

Thanks-
Mark
Hemi 300C preview

Received info from Mark Lindahl that he had been asked for a "sequence
number" when calling the  888-423-3332  number.

As per memo rec'd today, the sequence number is no longer needed.  Any Club
member
being given a "hard time" registering should state that he or she has been
invited by Matt Roberts at BBDO Detroit, as a member of the Chrysler 300
Club International, Inc.  ; and, if still being given a hard time, please
ask for Adrienne specifically, at extension #5097

Thank you and enjoy !
