Hi Steve; Glad to see you're OK.
You said you were backfeeding the Generator into the dryer outlet. Make sure
you shut off the main breaker to your house, taking  you out of the power
system. If the breaker is left on, you will be supplying power back into the
system, and maybe into a power company worker on a pole, or a neighbor.
