Ages ago I visited a driveshaft repair facility with a 300 driveshaft on
my shoulder.
The counter guy was nice enough to trapse back to his rubber boots section
and fiddle aboot looking for something that might work.
What he came back with was a pretty STIFF boot from a ford application.
IT IS NOT installed on my 300. (Have Not Gotten to this part yet)
BUT I do think it might work.
This fresh rubber boot is pretty sturdy. really it is Not a flimsy
piece. I think it will hold up
AND if not then there are ways to help it stay UN-ballooned in use.
