jeff; actually i have a friend who tried a GOOD single quad intake and went back to the xram as he wanted the several tenths lost with the single quad, back... i also have to wonder why ALL the different manufacturers, at one time or another, used dual quads for increased performance.. even today, they use new tricked out throttle bodies with better [more] flow to get more performance, the equivalent of bigger or more carbs.. ive run in line dual quads almost without break for the last 35 years and im quite happy with the economy and performance, and i love the long rams, it feels so neat when they ''come on''. sorry but i disagree on the subject of single versus dual quads,,,, tried both and i prefer the d/q's...
