Thanks to everyone for all the reply's I got about the hemi. new gas tank, new gas, rebuilt carbs, new plugs-----I have removed and cleaned them several times after oiling cylinders-----the first 2 condensors I tried were bad, the third was good-----new points, new dist. cap, new rotor---I checked distributer ----was ok---I checked several different plugs and all were firing-----.I will keep you posted---Johnnie I once had a really stubborn motor, So I pulled all the plugs and set the timing by cranking speed. with the plugs out the motor spun fast enough to get a basic setting, as well as illustrate the place it was at before I tried this. Also I had to cut the gas feed to the carbs and dribble a few small slurps down the carbs throat. The idea was to just hear it fire at least a cough or 2 before I tried a connected fuel delivery. This way I was confident that it would try to run for me. Knowing it had the coughs at least told me that it would run once I got every thing else right. -- Paul Holmgren 2 57 300-C's in Indy Hoosier Corps L#6 ------------------------ Yahoo!
