Greetings from the Great White North of the US!
I have to agree with Ray 100%! The club is for Lettered 300's, but ANYONE
with interest is welcome. That is why 25+ years ago I joined this club- I
have been a 300 nut since age 8. If you want to see a show where "other"
Chryslers or like my "one of none" 300 s/w are judged etc. go to a WPC club
meet or any number of Mopar club shows.
I love going to shows, and waited many years to have our K in any kind of
shape to show- I really love showing it as up here in the frozen dry north
there are DAMN few lettercars and it is a rare treat to see another one, or
even a "plain" 300 for that matter! So many people, even so called car
people don't have a clue what the Letter Car is, that is what makes it so
fun to show and SHARE with others. We have only one trophy to show for the 7
or so shows the K has been to, mainly because so many are not judged and are
voted on by the participants, who as fore mentioned don't know what they are
looking at (Oh, it's a old Mopar-DeSoto- K-car(gawd I HATE that!) etc. The K
isn't perfect, still needs some expensive things done so that is some of the
reason for only one,but no one I have met with "either" kind of 300 thought
he/she was better than me- quite the opposite- happy to talk and share about
the 300 at hand.
Everyone I have talked with, emailed etc. in this club has been more
than happy to answer even some of the dumbest questions and share info and
time and, knowledge, part availability etc. etc. Sorry gang I don't see
what there is to get in a snit about. COMMON SENSE says- it is a club for
and about LETTERED 300's! I'll get off the soap box and return to digging
