Herman, before you try to change the units, check the wiring harness. I seem to remember that the tilt column requires a different wireing harness but have never changed one out myself so don't know what the difference was. A friend was trying to replace damaged wires up thru the column and on the same year model Dodge pickup, the wiring harness was different between his with tilt and one I was parting out without tilt. Look the plug-in to the column over to see if they are the same. If they are, maybe the whole column will interchange with the wiring, but he was trying to change wiring only and couldn't make it work and ended up swapping out the entire column with wires and doing away with the tilt. The '67 Newports column is a Tilt&Scope-version and I would like to have that one in my '65 300 convertible. Other than the looks on the dash, are there other real problems I might encounter during this swap? I know the shift linkage is different, but I'm hoping I could exchange thos aswell... Any info is appreciated. Thanks, Herman Meiners The Netherlands http://mopar.2ya.com [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] Yahoo!
