Hi Tom and All, There is a valve on top of the steering box that has the supply and return lines coming out of it. It is adjustable, and is what is causing your noise and self steering. The service manual says you can adjust it while the car is running, but if you loosen the 2 bolts up to much you will blow the O-ring seals and spray oil everywhere. The best way is to do it with the engine off and the front wheels off the ground. Move the valve one way of the other, starting it up after moving and re-tightening. When there is no more noise and the wheel doesn't move when it's started up, you are done. Another one of those strange Chrysler "quirks"! 300ly, Don ----- Original Message ----- From: <trkosky@xxxx> To: <chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, November 18, 2003 6:35 AM Subject: [Chrysler300] Power Steering Advice Needed! Hi Everyone in Chrysler Land: Got a 59E. When I turn to the left, I hear what appears to be a "hissing" noise. No noise when I turn to the right. Also, when I first start the engine (and it's cold) the steering wheel sometimes turns automatically about half a turn to the left. There is plenty of power steering fluid in the resovoir, and supposedly the unit has been rebuilt! Any suggestions are GREATLY appreciated. Thanks all!
