      just a word about the business ethics of k&n air cleaner company..
         i am a personal friend of the man who invented and has a patent
on the top breathing air cleaner that k&n came out with a couple of
years ago.
           he took it to them and asked iif they would care to license
it for production. they looked it over carefully, had a couple of
meetings with him and ended up telling him ''thanks, but we arent
interested at this time''. six months later, they were selling them and
refusing to talk to the man. they finally talked to his lawyer and the
upshot was, we have lots more money to spend on lawyers than you do, go
ahead and sue us, we will tie it up in court forever and if you do ever
get anything it will be all eaten up in legal fees..
       ISNT THE U.S. PATENT SYSTEM WONDERFUL?? [for the big rich
companies]
          he still has the patents, but has never seen a penny from
k&n....
