Same release direction on both window and door handles. Just learned how to remove the clips from the handles today. Found there are two types of the clips even. Both look the same from the outside and differ on how they are held in the slot on the handle. Suggest just trying to pull the handle off square from the door while releasing the clip. Hate those darn handle releases!! There is a metal or plastic ring under the handles which takes the wear and protects the upholstery from wearing. and getting torn. Have a lot of extras but most are well worn of course. Good old engineer in you should be able to make some for your car. The plastic ring sure is nicer but likely to be broken. Wonder if the tab on your tool is bent too far up and sliding between the clip and the handle. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rich Barber" <barber@xxxxxxxxx> To: "Chrysler 300 Listserver" <Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, February 14, 2005 8:58 PM Subject: [Chrysler300] 1955 C300 Door and Window Handle Removal > > I could use some guidance on removing the inside door handles from my > C300.
