My C has been roadworthy for about 10 years but there are still some questions I have and some parts I would like. The questions: 1) Is there a dual valve/cylinder brake master cylinder that can easily replace the original mc. I'd feel a little more secure with a dual cylinder. 2) Is there a plate (4 bolts - about 4" x 7" that covers the lower front of the bell housing? 3) Were stiffening rods (about 1/2" diameter x 30" long) from the firewall to the fenders used in any of the 57 - 59 cars? 4) The match between the hood and fender curvature is not very good on my car and moving the fender and/or hood doesn't help. Increasing the radius of the hood curve looks like it would help. I think it could be done if the bottom edge of the hood (adjacent to the fender) could be pushed or pulled forward. Is this a reasonable bodywork job? How would it be done? 5) My windshield wiper switch doesn't correctly return the wipers to the park position when switched off - the wipers just stop where they are at. Does the switch need some attention - I remember a similar question from another member some time ago? 6) I thought I had bought a working radio but never got it to work and just installed it anyway. Is there a certain spec for the speaker or anything else to check if I pull it out for a bench test? The inside parts did light up as I recall. 7) My turn signals worked for some time and were in order when I had the wheel off. Some years later I thought I heard something snap when the turn signals stopped working. Is there anything in particular to look for when I pull the wheel again? 8) Is there a wedge spacer or some other adjustment to lift the back end of the front bumper? Mine is not parallel with the brake air scoop extension. The parts: 1) Throttle linkage (gas pedal to back carb) I have firewall bracket but had to fabricate the rest. Also need the transmission kickdown linkage (firewall bracket to trans). I just manually downshift now. 2) Transmission pan and filler tube. Mine has a slight kink where the tube attaches to the pan and a small leak. 3) Engine oil dipstick - end of mine is broken and printing is unreadable. Thanks for any help you can offer or parts that you may have. I will be at the Spring meet next Friday and would welcome any personal advice at that time.
