Hi Mike,
  On  all the A/C cars I have seen and owned (from 59-66) the A/C clutch
wire and harness was always by itself. Since A/C was an option, the wiring
was not integrated into the basic harness. This is also true of cruise
control, rear defog, and rear speaker wires.
