The Chrysler transmission engages the pump when in Drive so I don't 
think there would be much, if any pressure difference.  Also that 
transmission is built to take the pressure. Highest pressure is in 
Reverse.  The clutches would have no wear if a car is at a stop.  
Clutches get wear when there is a shift, when a heavy weight (car) is 
being accelerated, or down shifting in mountain driving, decelerating.
