Brandt,

Not so fast.....I made a mistake.  I had two buyers on the car.  The first I
was dealing with for two weeks through both auctions.  He had originally
offered 45K on the car (and asked me to end the auction early).  He then
upped it on the car to a slightly higher amount (again, asking me to end the
auction early) which I had still turned down.  He definitely indicated that
that new number was his 'best and last'. Another buyer called yesterday and
offered the same amount (asking me to end the auction).  I told him that I
already had that amount on the car and in fairness to buyer #1 I would not
end the auction early under any circumstances.  John Hertog knows this
buyer.  He was a legitimate buyer who is a genuine enthusiast and has
purchased several cars from club members in the past.  I was very forthright
with both buyers and told them exactly where they stood throughout (of
course trying to garner the best price for the car).  As soon as I hung up
with the original buyer, the crazy bidding began.  Look at the two bidders.
They both 'coincidentally' do exactly the same thing?!?!?  Too odd for me.
I don't feel good about this.  I don't think bidder #2 was real....at least
it is not the enthusiast I refer to in the email.  If I get paid, I guess I
should not worry about it.  

Who knows....Now I understand why people hate to discuss sales and values on
the server....Ah, Ebay!

We will see....

They're only going up! On Ebay motors, a G htp w/ no air in around a 3 to a
3+ cond. just blasted a whopping $54,100 (no reserve). Way to go John
Lyons!!!  By the way, Melissa (my G), is doing great and is looking for a
trip to JC Auto again around Feb.-Mar. to get more various aspects of
