I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Barn Cats. I have 2 and they 
have a Pet door on an attached shed (The Cat House) I added for my 
wife's garden supplies. The only evidence of Mice and Voles I see are 
the half eaten remains, or a cat prancing by with a tail hanging out of 
it's mouth. Early on I had mice and Norwegian Barn Rats (which live in 
the woods) visiting or living in my shop building, but since the Boss 
said she wanted Barn Cats, there's mice no more. The Cats seem to love 
the 60 X 23 shed i added on the side of the shop for tractor and car 
storage. It has lots of shelving with all the junk thats too good to 
toss but which takes up room. I think it's sorta a mouse buffet  for 
the Cats.
