[Chrysler300] using Steering wheel pullers



Jerry and other 300 owners decide for yourselves, but for an extra measure 
of 'avoiding possible uneeded hassles', rather than totally remove the nut 
that holds the steering wheel, many undo it, but only until the top of the 
nut is flush/level with the top of the threaded shaft, then use this 
combined larger area for the puller centre to sit against, then when the 
wheel pops loose, remove the puller, and undo the nut completely, and the 
wheel will also just come off with no further puller needed.

This way their is no risk of crushing the often hollow steering shaft, nor 
damaging the beginning of the threads - however steering wheels are not that 
usually stuck that this happens, but this can be more important if using a 
puller on say a rear axle shaft or some more stubborn threaded item.

Your decision, but make sure when first freeing/undoing the nut, before 
fitting your puller, check that whatever, the nut is turned at least a 
couple of full turns, so it leaves enough free space for the wheel to 'pop 
up off free' of the shaft when pulling.

If this seems complicated it is not - maybe I just need to learn to write 
things more simply so no misunderstandings, and apologies to all those who
