Carburetors on the C300 are not progressive. They each contribute equally from idle to WOT. Which means if one carb does not work properly, 1/2 the engine is effected. Most factory intakes for V8, two barrel applications are that way also. So, cylinders for dual quad 18436572 firing order engine that would be fueled by one carburetor would be 1467 and the other carb supplying cylinders 8352, Two barrel splits (most anyway) would be the same with the progressive linkage, dual 4-bbl arrangement bringing in the second carburetor somewhere south of WOT and both carbs then wide open at the same time. Some big cube '70s Cads with single 4 bbl carbs for one application had single plenum intakes BTW. Kept hood lines down.
