Rolland;   I recently (last winter) painted my '62 top bows a metallic 
charcoal gray color  - a very close match.  I used single stage paint, I 
hand on hand - mixed for 56 Desoto.   The color may not be an accurate  
match but close.   My original top iron was not black -more of a grayish 
black with what I perceived as some metallic tint.
