Hi Jim, I have my 300G stick car (which has been under restoration forever it seems) insured for 200K with Hagerty (agreed value). It costs some money but if the Dragone's place (the restoration shop) were to have any serious problems, as I understand it, I am covered. Your situation sounds odd. Find another agent. Good luck. Although it is in pieces I contacted Hagerty about there restoration insurance. After many phone calls, applications, photos they said my 300E has a value of $5,300.. And a finished value of $15,000.. ? I have thousands of dollars in parts, not to mention all the other items labor, paint etc.. They ended up saying I was unreasonable wanting to insure it at a replacement value of $40,000. I am curious and confused if any body else has Hagerty for this insurance, or information on another company they have had better luck with please contact me.. Thanks!
