As stated, remove power first and immediately. Then, any of the pivot points, motor bearings, or gearbox may be the problem or it could just be the cumulative drag of all of them is more than the motor can overpower. Unless you know that the wiper motor and gearbox have been cleaned and lubricated with fresh lubricants you should consider doing it. Sooner or later it will be done and hopefully before permanent or more serious damage has occurred. This task is necessary for all motors in the vehicle. All the motors like heater, windows, rear defroster, starter, antenna, etc. will eventually suffer the fate of the lubricant becoming like molasses on a cold day.
