Anyways, the distributor might be from a later model 383HP like a Road Runner. I'd try a cap for a '68-'70 383 Road Runner and see if it fits. There's probably some other trick to determine but I'm in DFW right now passing through and this is the best I can do. That has led to a problem finding a replacement cap and rotor since none of the local parts stores can tie a dual point to the 383. I would appreciate anyone shedding some light on this.
