FW: [Chrysler300] Coker tires

While we are talking tires, my C has tires from a company called
Hercules, which I think might be a distributor rather than a
manufacturer.

Have club members any views or experience of them? I have driven the car
about 10 thousand miles without incident since I bought it in 2002

When I was a teenager in the 1970s, I had a 360HP 300-K coupe (no sway bar)
on Goodyear Custom Power Cushion bias ply tires (H78-14) and a 1963 Newport
four-door on economy radials (GR78-14, I recall).

The Newport leaned more in the corners, but on those radials, it handled
better at all speeds than the 300-K on the bias ply tires.

Mark,

I can't believe that a 64 Sport handels better than a H! - I've drived one.

I have Cooper 235/75/R15 narrow whites on both of my H's and they handel
great.

I have those Hancook P225-70R-14 whitewall tires on my 64 300 and the car
handles better than my 300H. I paid $95 each at my local tire store. I have
driven the car about 600 miles on them including the trip to Carlisle, with
no problems. There's probably a total of 3 oz. of weights over all 4 tires.
One tire took no weights at all. BTW, this car is still for sale.

Hi All,
?
As an alternative for 14 inch tires, you may consider this one.
Hancook P225-70R-14. ? They are sold through Discount Tire.
There are a couple other brands listed too for that size.
?
I would be curious to hear comments about the size difference vs. OEM.
These should hold the road better due the shorter side wall?

I just took a look on Coker's web site and it appears they are still selling
the
235/75R14 radials in both 1" & 2.5" whitewalls. The price is now up to
$228.00
ea (UGH).

Hey!! Somebody's gotta pay for their screw ups!!! Right???

Well guess who gets elected !!!
