Good to see the other replies about shops with lifts. My shop was here when I bought the property, so I had to work with what I had. My boys gave me the lift for Christmas a few years ago. If anyone needs to see how I used the lift to support the roof and cut a truss out for the overhead space needed, I can send photos. I sent one in the original email, but it was removed. The lift is very good, works well and their service was great. Not a problem with a one of them, and all of the ones I know of are in this area. We have had 22" of snow just in February, 9+" this week, and it is snowing hard now. Not a one of the boxed trusses has sagged a bit under the terrrific (and unusual) snow loads we've had this year. Of course, 12' walls add little to the overall cost and would be better if one anticpates putting a lift in someday.
