JD - I'm interested in reading the articles in the magazines that you mentioned. Can you furnish me with the month/year of these articles ? Auto Restorer is an excellent magazine and I'm especially interested in what their take is on this. Not sure what you mean by 'homologation'. I looked the word up and it has nothing to do with motor oil. I'm also hoping that one or more of the petroleum engineers in the audience will chime in on this discussion.
