IMHO, it's a 'must have'. I never could have reinstalled the engine/tranny 
into my 58 Plymouth without it.

Another thing I did was, as the engine/tranny assembly was being lowered 
into place, I 'caught' the tail end of the tranny on a dolly that had a 
piece of plywood clamped on top of it. This way, I could guide things into 
place as my friend lowered the engine into position.

Also, be sure you allow many hours to accomplish this. Everything that could 
go wrong will, if you rush it.
