Hi Gang, I guess I have to chime in here too about the "anti stall" device. I owned my G over 20 years with a working anti stall device, and the only time I noticed it was on a warm re-start when the idle would go up a little until the plunger retracted. I thought it was kind of cool. I don't know what Chrysler's exact reason for using it was, but I suspect it was to keep the carbs from closing to fast after rapid acceleration. Pretty much like a lot of other cars with one four barrel. There should be .010 clearance between the plunger and linkage with the engine running warmed up at idle. The idle is set with the big screw between the mixture screws, not the plunger on the anti-stall device. Again, I had no stalling problems with my G which had it's points ignition, drum brakes, mechanical fuel pump, (they do start better with electric), and my non-working clock set at 3:00 (it was right twice a day). I did have the electronic regulator too, but suspect that when the wiring and connections are good the mechanical one will work just fine. 300ly, Don -----Original Message----- From: Larry Jett Sent: Friday, March 08, 2013 10:58 PM To: Bob Jasinski Cc: 'Andy Mikonis' ; 'Chrysler 300 List' Subject: Re: [Chrysler300] anti stall device As a 'borrower' of Bob's G a few years ago for a few weeks, and based on 23 years of owning a F, I am here to testify that the Jasinski starts and runs like a single well prepped 4 barrel carb and must have replicated what the factory wanted the new ram cars to perform like when new.
