Doug; You can do this with a spray bottle set to mist, spray down the secondary ignition system and check for the light show with the room darkened. I have seen some really interesting light shows, easy to spot problems

Hood up, start it and watch for an electrical show.
You may solve a problem not yet apparent, or solve that little misfire.
