{Chrysler 300} Confused

I'm still getting used to my new K. 

It makes an intermittent noise which two mechanics have told me is nothing to worry about, but it doesn't make sense to me.

The sound is most similar to what one might hear when brake shoes are rubbing, and it occurs during both stiff acceleration uphill, and occasionally also when I let off on the gas. Two mechanics have hypothesized some kind of exhaust vibration or noise from the intake but I'm skeptical.

 I should try to carefully record it but does any of this connect with any of the knowledgeable folks on this group list?
