We have not re-plated these but from what I’ve seen with them pitting over time, I’d 99% guess pot metal. 

Experts can chime in.

Does anyone know what type of metal the rear fender trim is made of on a 64? Pot metal, brass,...???

 

Kind of shabby, and the front studs appear to have been pulled down too tightly.
