  Actually I really DO want your opinion - and the opinions of others that have been exactly where I am right now.  It's so damn easy to get caught up in "well I can do this...and then this...and I need this..." when all I really need to do is get the engine rebuilt and back into the car, and enjoy the heck out of it.  When I leave Kodiak next summer (2005) I'll have MANY more parts available, and I won't have to pay out the arse for shipping 'em!  :)

  to slip joint] After forty years of age, you still got life left in
  those parts. Try using them. 
  I must sound like a real "*sshole", but I have been there/done that, and
  wasted my money on the most stupid trinkets, that didn't make my car any
  better to drive, or put gas in the tank. I have some nephews that think
  a thousand dollar stereo, in a three hundred dollar car, makes it worth
  thirteen hundred dollars. Bald tires, dead battery, oil smoke and all!
