oops- didn't see that you already had a gauge.  Sounds like you need a 
regulator.  Mallory makes some good ones.  Summit has those also.  I 
replaced the standard Carter electric on my max wedge car and replaced the 
weatherhead gasline tee on that takes the single fuel line from the pump and 
splits it to the carbs.  It looks like it belongs there and works great.
