Why would a converter change shift points?  That should be a function of
the valve body and governor shouldn't it?  If your transmission is
shifting at 1500 RPM you have some problems.  I would start by looking
at the downshift/kick-down linkage adjustment.

it wants to shift at about 1200 to 1500 and could deffinatlky hold the
