I thought about doing this on my 64 Sport Fury (to help weight  transfer) but 
I found out that it would move the motor to far back and the  cross-ram I'm 
using would hit the firewall. So I stayed with the stock K-member.  Even using 
that I only have just over an inch  clearance.
