Yup, Mobil I synthetic is good stuff. Not clear if William means to 
replace all the fluid in the trans/torque converter or just add fluid. I 
assume Mobil I works best full strength. 

Also, the original fluid called for by Chrysler in 1962 was "type A" 
which is no longer available but is replaced by Dexron (II or III).  
(The 'type a" you sometimes find in 7-11 style corner stores is not the 
same "type a" fluid as formulated in 1962 I'm told.)

Type F has more friction additives, right, so it is sometimes favored by 
racers?
