As was said earlier, remove the plastic terminal cover.  I was able to attach the wiring harness after I installed the starter, but I also have the TTI headers.  The terminals are located further inboard (towards the engine) so length on the wiring harness may become an issue.  I have a reproduction harness and I have just enough length for it to fit.  If you have an original harness that has had the ends trimmed several times for new terminals, it may end up being a little short.

First, take off the plastic cover and remove the terminal adapter. The original cables should be long enough. You just want to hook up the cables before you install the starter.
