You might have a bad speedo cable Jeff or the head (not yours) may need 
oiling. There's a well on the back of the speedo with a cotton wick in 
it that can be oiled. I had a speedo seize up and break the cable on a 
66 Charger I had and was able to free it up by oiling it. Unfortunately 
you have to take out the instrument panel to get to it.
