The good news is you can remove the dash and leave the glass intact. 

The bad news is you need lots of patience and time. 

Akron Don reported success using a "Craftsman 3/8 Saltus wrench (one 
side is an open end and the other side is a socket on a swivel which is 
the end you use) and a 45 degree or deep offset 3/8 by 7/16 box wrench."
