Jeff,
   Thanks for the insight, but I'll still have to have the crank
welded up to get a desired stroke of 3.53, so as long as the crank is
solid with not cracks, a used one is fine. The 383 crank is storked
at 3.38, so .15 has to be added to get a 426 out of the 400 block
that I will be putting the crank into. That is the engine Don is
talking about and is high on the power out put.
