as the discussion has stated, shell rotella t is probably a good choice 
for break-in because of additives.

mobile one synthetic seems to be the best AFT for all applications.

now to throw joker into the deal...how good is the Amsoil product line 
for new engines?

back in the 80's during my flying days, Aviation Consumer did a piece 
about the Shell ball bearing
under pressure test.

the test would put 4 or 5 spinning ball bearings under pressure
with a hydro press until they seized up.

Amsoil not only passed the test but continued to lube past the limits of 
the machine.

Aviation Consumer then used Amsoil has an additive 1:4 with other oil 
and got the same results.

Amsoil had a cow.

If the formula is still the same i am surprised rodders haven't latched 
on to this fact.

One of the other back handed compliments was about STP as an engine 
pre-lube.

the ZLF zinc compound would keep the rings of an engine from seating 
because of the
anti-scuff qualities....

sounds to me like something great for cam lube...
