the slider vs. pin caliper isn't necessarily a 10.87" vs. 11.75" rotor 
tie-in.,,  the pin cal's can be used with the smaller 10.87" rotors
if the correct caliper adapters are used (see 73-74 factory B/E-bodies.,
they had pin cal's), and likewise, sliders can be used with 11.75"
rotors if you get the slider caliper adapters for 11.75",,  (see 80's
trucks and vans...).
