Max wedge VIN info

Hi All -

I just stopped at a local hot rod car lot where they had a very nice '64 
Polara they were representing as a "real" max wedge car. Because it had the 
battery in the engine compartment it couldn't have been a "real" one. The 
VIN tag had been taken off, maybe to paint the engine compartment, and 
returned. I'm curious as to what the VIN identifier of a max wedge car is. 
Anyone?
