Well, the other day, I had a clutch pedal spring break on me. No biggie, they do that every six months or so. (Cheap Parts). I finish driving the car home, because the pedal does return a bit even without it and I can limp it home by lifting it with my toe. Just before I turn into the neighborhood, It goes to the floor and stays there as I shift to 2nd to turn in. I have to reach down and lift it with my hand. Didnt think anything of it. Today when I went to put the new spring on, and one on the lower-side because I figured that one was gone too. I replaced them and the clutch would only partially engage. Thought maybe a bushing in the z-bar had slipped out or broke. Pulled the z-bar and it was tore on the transmission size to a good oval shape. I used the vice to press it back round and welded the tear with my wire-feed to get me by until I find a replacement. I was wondering if anyone had an extra early a-body z-bar they might like to part-with and sell? -- '65 Dart GT 'vert Tom Watters -- http://www.fastmail.fm - A fast, anti-spam email service. ---- Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person.
