Head light switch knob

Hello all, I am a new/old list member who has finally got all the
computer grimlins taken care of and am back on line.
I have officially started the restoration of my 65 Belvedere
convertible. I had been putting it off because I enjoyed driving it so
much (oh and no money too). Well it's in the shop getting metal work
done and being preped for paint. I have all bright work, interior and
engine and trans in my garage waiting for the freshly painted rolling
shell to return. Then the fun begins.
My problem at the moment is while my dash is out of the car I want to
sand and paint it. Everything is off of it now except the head light
switch. What is the trick to taking the knob off without damaging it? It
dosn't have an allen screw like the rest of the knobs.
There is probably an easy answer to this but I don't know it. Any help
would be appreciated.
