I know that crate engines are available, and I believe that the engine/trans control systems (computer) either come with them or are available aftermarket. But the route I was thinking about was to pick up a totaled R/T and then you have the complete system.

I just bought an 08 Charger R/T and am impressed with  it's 5.7.  Is anyone
marketing a kit to install this newer drivetrain  into early B bodies?  Or,
has anyone done this swap?  Inquiring  minds would like  to know of problems,
parts acquisition,  etc.

I have no anwsers for you, but am thinking that this would be mighty
expensive, the hard part would be the computer which controls everything, and
without it, would be a wasted exchange, I know that anything is possible, but
unless you have unlimited funding, or the ability to install and wire all of the
sensors that are needed to make this engine perform, the cost is going to be
prohibitive for the average man
