Re: Hood Clearance

Thanks everybody for the help.

Hood going to paint soon, this info saved me a lot of grief later on.

I'll cut it!

hi,

been there, tried not cutting, even with the schumacher torque strap.
very first tromp on it and ping! dinged those expensive new
aircleaners.

went home and cut the inner webbing.

all good now. i "see" that smal ding in the cleaners every time i
open the hood.

"cut it"

Is anyone running a Max Wedge crossram w/ stock or reproduction air
cleaners on an uncut '62 or '63 hood?

I know Chrysler cut the inner support structure out on these hoods for Max
Wedge applications but I was wondering if the stock crossram setup will
fit without doing so. A similar topic was brought up recently so I know
it is close.

Thanks,

Wakeman
