RE: throttle pressure



Hi there,

I'm pretty sure that when the throttle is full open, the lever at the 
transmission should be all the way back.  If is not, the rod is too 
short.

The slot at the carb end is to allow the throttle to close if the lever 
at the transmission gets stuck.  On the 62-65 B bodies (I'm not cetain 
about the others) if slush or mud or something stopped the transmission 
lever from moving forward, the throttle would be stuck open.

The 64 b bodies did not have the slotted unit and it was a direct 
connection to the throttle.
