Longer shocks are needed for sure or you'll restrict the spring rise 
when the original length shocks "top out" their travel under 
acceleration.  

I don't think you need new front spring hangers as, IIRC, early B's use 
the same front spring length as A-bodies.  66-up B-bodies have a longer 
front spring segment hence the need for the longer hangers in order to 
maintain the cars original wheelbase.  I did not need new hangers on my 
62 Sport Fury nor my brothers 62 Dart.
